About us

LGT is the world’s largest family-owned and managed Private Banking and Asset Management Group. For more than 100 years it has been fully owned and managed by the Princely House of Liechtenstein, which is also one of our biggest clients.
With around 600 employees, LGT Bank Switzerland has established itself as a renowned Swiss private bank and is an excellent address for both wealthy private clients and employees - this was also confirmed last year by the independent institute "Great Place To Work", which awarded LGT Bank Switzerland the title of one of the best employers in Switzerland.

Your challenge

As Assistant Legal you will support a team of five lawyers in various administrative and partly legal tasks.

You will be responsible for file management, archiving and administration of the Lexolution document management system. You will manage the secretariat of the legal department together with two colleagues (partly part-time), handle correspondence in German, English and French and prepare translations in German and English. You will also be responsible for numerous other administrative tasks (expense reports, management of absence days, IT coordinator, telephone service, payment of third-party services, appointment coordination, meeting organization, preparation and organization of the Board of Directors meeting, etc.).

You will take on simple legal casework under the supervision of a lawyer, particularly dealing with inquiries in the areas of enforcement, inheritance, family and guardianship law. The focus here will be on checking the necessary legitimation documents, system queries and transaction approvals as well as drafting response letters. Relevant familiarity with legal issues is therefore desirable.

Your profile

You have completed basic commercial training or a school-leaving certificate with several years of experience as an assistant, preferably in a bank or law firm.

A CAS Paralegal or similar additional training is an advantage.

In addition to German, you have a very good command of spoken and written English and French. Additional language skills in Italian or Spanish are an advantage.

Furthermore, you work independently and accurately with the ability to work under pressure whilst being a a team player.
