London, 8th August 2022. LGT Wealth Management (LGT), one of the leading wealth managers in the UK, has realigned their investment proposition for Financial Advisers with the appointment of Phoebe Stone to oversee the newly structured Intermediary Investment Services team.
LGT has seen significant growth within the MPS market since launching their proposition to advisers in 2009. The July 2022 MPS Proposition Comparison report from NextWealth showed that LGT ranked amongst the top five DFMs for AUM in the first quarter of 2022. LGT has seen an impressive year on year growth (Q1 2021 – Q1 2022) with £1.7 billion of new assets added to their MPS proposition, taking the MPS AUM to £7.3 billion as at the end of Q2 2022. The firm’s total AUM was £21.3 billion as at the end of July 2022.
The firm aims to continue this growth trajectory and to position themselves accordingly, the MPS and Sustainable MPS investment teams have been realigned to form the Intermediary Investment Services team, focused on managing all advisory specific propositions. Phoebe Stone, the Firm’s Head of Sustainable Investing, will oversee the team, bringing her long-standing insight of the intermediary market, coupled with her expertise within sustainable investing.
Tony Allan, Head of Business Development said: "Our private ownership and financial strength have been key factors for advisers choosing to partner with us. Furthermore, as a firm we have an entrepreneurial approach where we look for opportunities to innovate. This saw us launch our Sustainable MPS in 2018, one of the first of its kind and also a key contributor to our inflow of assets. With Phoebe at the helm, we believe we are well-positioned to expand our reach, both in the UK and overseas."
Phoebe Stone commented: "Since inception, our aim has been to provide a high quality, risk-rated investment proposition with a focus on the needs of Financial Advisers. We have always focused on staying ahead of the curve, whether that be due to regulation or client-led demand. Our realigned Intermediary Investment Services team will allow us to continue to develop our proposition for Financial Advisers and to deliver a leading service in the industry."
The firm’s adviser sales team is led by Tony Allan with a team of 19 Business Development Directors and a further resource of 23 investment, technical and communication specialists.
