Robert is Partner and Head of Private Markets. He is an investment professional with 30 years of financial markets experience. Robert graduated from Bristol University and qualified as an equities analyst at Cazenove & Co before joining a top ranked Investment Research team in the TMT sector at ABN AMRO Hoare Govett in 1993, becoming Co-Team Head in 1995. He moved into ABN AMRO Bank’s structured finance team, building a market leading, £5bn, asset leasing business in the TMT sector between 1998 and 2009.
Robert was an independent corporate finance consultant from 2009 to 2011, before going in house to deliver a three year company turnaround project for a well-known family owned Film and TV services group with assets in the UK and the US.
Robert joined Vestra Wealth LLP in 2014 and was the Development Capital Team Head since mid-2016, with responsibility for single company and discretionary fund based private market assets, including EIS, VCT and other tax enhanced investment structures. He is the Private Markets Team Head since June 2021 with responsibility for LGT Wealth Management’s overall Venture Capital and Private Equity based investment offering.
